How a treatment plan takes shape

It starts with listening: when and where the pain began, what makes it better or worse, and what it has taken from you. Then comes the examination, and scans and tests are read alongside what you have said.

The goal of the plan is set with you, such as going back to work or walking to the shops. Exercise, medicines, injections, or a referral to a surgeon and other colleagues are put together around that goal.

At later visits we look at what has helped. Our measure is what you can do again.
